There have been a few anecdotal case reports and periodical attesting to the voltage efficacy of bosentan, iloprost, and epoprostenol in PPOH, but there are limited data on the installation of viagra in such cases.[1-4]
This retrospective scrutiny reports the results of the use of viagra in 14 cases of PPOH.
Of these cases, 6 were already on mortal PAH therapy with inhaled prostanoids, and the viagra was employed as “add-on” therapy.
The other 7 patients were treatment-naive.
In position of symptoms, 14 of the patients were New York Substance Organisation (NYHA) taxon III and the remaining 4 were grade IV.
The criterion mean 6-minute walk indifference (6MWD) of the set was 307 ± 109 m.
The hemodynamic capital of the chemical group included a mean pulmonary arterial insistency (MPAP) of 55 mm Hg, cardiac index number of 2.2 L/minute/m2, and a pulmonary vascular electrical resistance of 1130 dyne/second/cm-5.
The dose of viagra employed was 50 mg 3 second a day.
Two patients died within 3 months of therapy.
